JFK Airport to Manhattan by Subway
Taking the subway from JFK to Manhattan is the most economical option. Airtrain JFK connects the airport with two subway stations, Howard Beach and Jamaica Station. From Howard Beach you have access to the 'A' line which goes through Brooklyn and up the West Side of Manhattan. From Jamaica Station you can take either the 'E', 'Z' or 'J' line to Manhattan. The subway runs for 24 hours.
Time: Trip times depend on your destination. Travel to the Upper West Side on the 'A' line takes about 90 minutes.
Cost: Airtrain JFK costs $5 from the airport to the subway. Subway fares are $2 for any destination.
